"I was so glad to find Juliana in preparing for our home birth with our first child. I had no idea what to expect, so I wanted the peace of mind of having the extra support, in case my husband and I needed it. I also knew I wanted to encapsulate my placenta, and I was thrilled that she offered this service.
I labored for 30+ hours at home, during which time Juliana offered help with my nausea, gave me accupressure, and helped calm me down emotionally. I eventually decided to transfer to the hospital, as I had lost all energy. Juliana was unable to come with me (she had her infant with her), but she stayed behind to tidy up the house, which was very much appreciated. I ended up birthing in our car, and on her way home, Juliana met up with us in the parking lot to take my placenta.
During labor, I had an amazing husband and birth team, and Juliana was able to offer help when it seemed like nothing would work. But, I think I'm most grateful for what she did for me postpartum. She encapsulated 1/2 of my placenta, and cut up the other half into little raw cubes for smoothies. She also made me a tincture, placenta prints, and gave me a little piece of my son's umbilical cord in the shape of a heart. This combination of gifts really helped me recover both physically and emotionally from a very exhausting labor. She visited me afterwards, and offered a great deal of reflective support. My home birth was not as magical as I had hoped, and she helped me process some of my feelings. It felt really good to talk about it with someone who would not judge me.
I would highly recommend Juliana, particularly for her placenta and postpartum support. I owe a great deal of my recovery to this, and I find myself using my tincture now that I'm back at work, navigating the emotions of being separated from my son. She's highly worth the investment. And when it came to the birth of my child, it was so worth it."

"Juliana is bright, warm, caring, inviting, understanding, patient, knowledgeable and kind. I was immediately at ease when we met and her demeanor was a consistent source of peace and reassurance during our meetings, and then during L&D. She has a broad range of knowledge of all things pregnancy, L&D and postpartum related that she utilized to help me and my husband throughout our entire journey. I really can't imagine my birthing experience without her by my side. I would recommend her to anyone and should the stars align again in the future, I would have her as my doula again."
